Want to know more about Schlamping™? Well, it is our own registered trademark name for luxury glamping in a cleverly crafted shepherd’s hut, add to that a glass of fizz and you have the perfect little celebratory getaway.

Close to nature our three huts offer accommodation that is both quirky and rustic, but also comfortable.

The three huts come with some fabulous mod cons and have lovely design features, such as oak wooden floors, butler sinks and narrow boat wood burners. Hot running water, a mini-fridge, microwave, oak worktop, loo, shower and of course a lovely double bed.

As well as a comfortable night’s sleep, guests in each hut can order a welcome breakfast hamper of Norfolk bread and cereals to the hut along with a host of other extras that can be ordered when you book, such as a bottle of Fizz chilling in your fridge, a BBQ, a firepit stargazer package and extra wood.

Each hut remains true to Godwick’s landscape that is dotted with sheep, so we have named them after three of our favourite sheep breeds, the Norfolk Horn, Herdwick Hideaway and Ryeland Retreat.

The Details

Godwick Hall is a perfect piece of Norfolk, private and peaceful, rural and relaxing, luxurious and languid. A perfect place to get away from it all.

Welcome breakfast hamper consisting of small loaf of locally baked bread, butters, jams, local granola or muesli (depending on availability), orange juice and yogurts. Double-up on the yogurts, jams, butter and orange juice for two mornings for £20.

Small round barbeque, coals and implements – £5/night.

Extra small trug of firewood is £5.

Selection of wines and beers available on request.

Large bottle of fine Fili prosecco chilling in your fridge – £20/bottle.

Stargazer package – marvel at the stars with a fire pit, basket of wood, kindling, two blankets, marshmallows and wooden skewers – £35 for one night, hire for two nights for £50 and we will recharge your basket of wood and kindling.

Extras can be settled by cash or BACS and payment should be arranged before you leave.

Personal guided tour of the Lost Village of Godwick historic trail. Learn more about the historic site and its history with a guided tour by Godwick Hall owner James Garner – £10 per person, minimum of two people.

The Herdwick is our only dog-friendly hut. Please note that due to the size of the huts we take only small and medium-sized dogs. We also ask that as Godwick is surrounded by a working farm that owners keep their dogs on leads when outside the huts and ensure their dogs don’t chase the livestock or jump on the beds!! There’s a £10 extra charge for additional cleaning if you bring your pooch!
