In November, Godwick sparkled with festive cheer as we hosted our very first Christmas Market – and what a magical day it was. Even with the chill and rain, our guests arrived wrapped in winter spirit, ready to celebrate local makers, community warmth, and a little Christmas magic.
Magical Moments in the Great Barn
Our great barn was transformed into a treasure trove of small, independent and local businesses. Guests wandered through stalls brimming with handcrafted gifts, festive treats and thoughtful finds – a joyful celebration of “shop local.”
The Winter Café
A cosy haven from the cold, the Winter Café was a much-loved stop throughout the day.
Rumour Coffee Co kept hands warm with winter-spiced hot chocolate and their seasonal Christmas blend, while B & R Dining served golden sausage rolls and rich, chocolatey brownies. Together, they created a comforting corner of festive flavours – the perfect pause between browsing, storytelling, and wandering through the wintery grounds.
Outdoor Magic
Outside, twinkling lights, glowing firepits and a sprinkle of “snow” from the popular snow machine turned Godwick into a winter wonderland.
Guests toasted marshmallows around the firepit and tucked into seasonal treats from an incredible line-up of food trucks: Paddy House Pancakes, The Arrogant BBQ, Rabbit and Run, Reesey’s and Pizza Roma.
Storytime & a Special Visitor
One of the day’s sweetest moments was the children’s storytelling session with the lovely Ali Stearn Liittle ones settled in for a magical tale, followed by cookies and festive drinks, before following a trail of carrots to meet the real Mr Jack Brock, our star visitor. Cuddles, smiles, and family photos made for memories we’re sure will last long after Christmas.

Community & Christmas Cheer

What touched us most, though, was the generosity of our community. With beautiful tombola donations from stallholders and guests, we raised £199 for the Mid Norfolk Food Bank, along with a wonderfully full donation point of food and essentials. A true reminder of what the season is all about.
