With the Hall ceremony space exclusively yours, your wedding coordinator orchestrating every detail, and romantic retreats from our bijou Shepherd’s Huts to our starlit Bell Tents, your celebration unfolds exactly as you’ve dreamed – authentic, unhurried, and beautifully intimate.
- WHAT'S INCLUDED -
Godwick Hall is available for midweek weddings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays throughout the year apart from the summer and Christmas holidays. Your elopement wedding includes the following:
- Two-hour hire of Godwick Hall for your wedding ceremony and celebratory drinks in the sumptuous Drawing room
- Ceremony witnesses can be arranged, if required
- A bottle of fizz to toast your marriage
- Self-catering accommodation for two nights in a cute and quirky Shepherd’s Hut or Godwick Stargazing Bell Tent (usually on the night before and the wedding night.)
- Godwick Welcome Breakfast Hamper awaiting your arrival
- Wedding Co-ordinator service from the Godwick Team to provide advice and help with planning your arrangements
- Godwick Event Manager on the day to help things run smoothly

- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -
Are your wedding ceremonies licensed?
Ceremonies can be held inside the Drawing Room or Dining Room, which are part of the licensed area. They can also be outside on the front lawn outside the Hall.
How do we book and what are the deposit and payment options?
Once you’ve decided to go ahead and book Godwick we are happy to hold a date for 10 days. This gives you time to contact the Registrar’s office www.norfolk.gov.uk/ceremonyenquiryform if you wish to marry at Godwick Hall. Once you have confirmation from the Registrar that your date is available, you then need to confirm your booking with us by sending us a non-refundable deposit of £500, together with a signed copy of our Terms and Conditions. The remainder of the cost of hire is payable in four instalments due at 12, 9, 6 & 3 months before your wedding day. If your wedding is fewer than 12 months away at the time of booking we invoice monthly until you are on track with the usual schedule. Any optional extras and damage deposits are required a month prior.
Do you have car parking?
There is car parking behind Godwick Hall, in the car port at Godwick Hall and to the side of The Old Stables
Can we invite additional guests?
For your elopement ceremony you are able to invite up to 6 additional guests. There’s a charge per guest. Your children are free of charge as long as they are under 16.
What time can I get into the Hall?
You have access for an hour before your wedding ceremony. You can also hire the bridal suite for three hours to get ready in luxury (subject to availability).
Can we put decorations up in the Hall?
We would love you to personalise the Hall with your own decorations and flowers. Please do not put up any decorations in the Hall that cause danger to your guests or cause any damage to the fabric of the building. Any electrical items that are to be used within the Hall must be PAT tested and a certificate provided on request.
Can we stay for additional nights?
Additional nights in your Shepherd’s Hut or Godwick Stargazing Bell Tent, on a self catering basis, can be arranged (subject to availability, price per night).
