Your Love Story
How did you two meet?
In a bar! Chris ran a cocktail bar in Newmarket, and we met when my best friend and I were on a night out. We got chatting at the bar, and that was it!
What was your proposal story?
On a lovely holiday in Corfu – I’d apparently carried around the ring all evening in my bag!
What made you choose Godwick as your wedding venue, and what were your first impressions of Godwick?
We got that ‘magic feel’ as soon as we walked in. We wanted something beautiful yet rustic, and we knew we wanted a barn-type venue.
Your Wedding at Godwick
Can you describe your wedding day in three words?
Chilled, laughter, us – some of the things we did were ‘untraditional’ – but we had everything WE wanted. I think it’s very easy to get caught up in what your guests want, remember it’s your day.
What was the overall vibe or theme of your wedding?
Rustic, relaxed, good food & good music.
What were the most special or memorable moments of the day?
Our trip was just the two of us to the ruins, walking outside to all our friends & family under the confetti and our speeches.
How did Godwick play a part in making your day special?
We felt so cared for and looked after. You would never believe Godwick caters for so many weddings because it felt so personal and important to them, as well as to us – even James with the tractor ride! The extra effect/touches go a long way
What did you love most about getting married at Godwick?
Everything. I couldn’t imagine getting married at a different venue. The setting was beautiful.

What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding at Godwick?
Remember it’s your day and nobody else’s. Make sure you get time just you two and not just entertaining your guests. Relax, enjoy it, spend time together.
